Case Study #1 - ICC-LSI-NCSA Dark Energy Survey

The NCSA engages in extremely resource-intensive data management, providing information on some of the most challenging astronomy projects in the world.

One of these projects is the “Dark Energy Survey,” an undertaking of tremendous scale involving over 120 scientists from 23 institutions internationally. In the pursuit of one of the greatest scientific mysteries, the collection and processing of digital data from astronomical observations assumes an unprecedented challenge in data storage and management. ICC stepped up to that challenge by providing a powerful solution with LSI™ 6Gb/s SAS I/O.

Case Study #2 – ICC-AMD-eHealth Nigeria Solutions to Improve Nigeria’s Healthcare System

Critical infrastructure such as healthcare is essential in every country. But nowhere are people more vulnerable to holes in the system as countries developing while plagued with ongoing conflict. Nigeria has made incredible strides in recent years, but it remains a very fragile place in need of stable services to protect the well-being of its people.

eHealth Nigeria, a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving healthcare in the country, worked with ICC to determine the best technology to move towards this goal. ICC delivered a server solution based on the multi-core AMD Opteron™ 6100 Series and AMD Opteron™ 4100 Series processors.
